How Can You Stay Fit & Healthy Through Ramadan?

Ramadan is a month of blessings. It gives you spiritual satisfaction and strengthens your Iman. When you have to keep on fasting for a whole month, it not only has positive effects on your health but also detoxifies your body. Fasting in Ramadan, itself is sufficient enough to keep you healthy and fit not only through Ramadan but all round the year. It’s one of the miraculous virtues of Ramadan. That doesn’t mean you should eat unhealthily, leave exercising and still hope to remain fit. Fasting and Healthy Diet go hand in hand for ensuring a joyous, fruitful, energetic and healthful Ramadan.

Even if you need to go on an Umrah in Ramadan, still the same rule applies. There’s no need to worry if you have pre-booked your Umrah packages all-inclusive 2020 for the next Ramadan. As the following tips will help you stay fighting fit during your Umrah trip.

Consume what you need to, not what you want.

In Ramadan when you are fasting throughout the day and it's finally the time of iftar, you naturally desire tasty dishes, which most of the time are unhealthy ones. Deep-fried and processed foods, high-calorie and sugary eatables top the list in this regard. Our advice, don’t eat what you want but what your body really needs. Specifically include a lot of fruits, vegetables and low Glycemic index (GI) foods in your diet. Such as rice, grains, wheat, seeds, oats, and beans.

Continue your daily Exercise.

Don’t ever use your fasting as an excuse not to exercise. The best time to hit the gym is early in the morning after Sehr or late at night after your iftar. Exercising will help your body efficiently absorb all the nutrients from the food you eat while also keeping your digestive system in good condition.

Hydrate your Body.

Hydrating is the key. Drink plenty of water. After iftar and before Sehr, complete your 8-10 glass of water intake with short intervals.

If necessary, take supplements.

Sometimes our body cannot effectively digest the essential minerals and nutrients from the food we eat. Therefore, if you feel the need to include multivitamins, protein and greens powders in your diet, do it. However, don’t consume them in heavy amounts.

Spend as much time in Dhikr as you can and offer your prayers on time.

Needless to say, Offering Salah five times a day and reciting Holy Quran has healing power. That healing is not of the spirit only but also of the mind and body. Recently, proved by the medical sciences also!

Get enough sleep but don’t keep on lying in bed all day long.

Sleep for at least 6 hours. Neither more nor less. Go to work and fulfill all your daily life duties. As this is what Ramadan really is, the sacrifice of your long sleep hours, frequent eating habits and laziness, to let you know about the hardships of the poor and needy. You can follow all these tips even if you are going to perform umrah in the month of Ramadan. Find cheap Ramadan umrah packages 2020 according to your affordability.
